but 2 or 3 ladies working is a brothel, that is the law and I have seen many escorts working alone who had their business badly disrupted because of these places, why should they suffer because others are breaking the law?.

Thing is brothels are not going to be made legal in Ireland, even in England where paying for sex is still legal, Brothels or two or more girls sharing is still illegal, won't change either

The way forward is working alone and visiting the Escort who works alone, more escorts are opting for that with screening and its working, safety is paramount for both sides,

You say safety is paramount. Surely 2 ladies sharing would feel safer than 1 escort working on her own ? Anyway I'm not gonna waste anymore time on you because you have already made your mind up so there's no point in even trying to discuss this with you.
    Hello darkness my old friend.....

In retrospect I think I was lucky , they seemed like men of the world so no harm,
You were incredibly lucky since you admitted breaking the law. I would have given them my name and address and said no more.

Can you tell us where this happened?

Are you really able to get away with just giving them your name and address? Are people really legally able to just state their name etc and then walk away from them? It can't be that easy surely?

ok if you believe that then whats your reason for believing it? just so many reasons why brothels are a NO NO...I have given my side based on the current situation and have discussed it very reasonably and you really can not dismiss one thing I've said as not being true
I have given you all the reasons why its safer for all when they work alone, its not about my mind made up, its is not about me, its about the reality of what is happening
I know it is a good thing where sex workers can work alone in peace without the hassle of all this and by doing so some good will come of it
    Good Day

Look the citizens advice website. Unless the guard had arrested you, you are under no obligation to answers his questions. And why should you? Why should you have to explain why you were in an apartment? Saying nothing except your name and address, which you do have give, and don't let them intimidate you.

From the guards' point of view you are a loser scumbag who can only get laid if you pay for some poor trafficked girl. Then want nothing more than you to admit you paid for sex so they can arrest you. Say nothing.

Maybe some Gardai think that way.. BUT The Independent business Ladies are providing a great social service to a lot of people in need. It is very unfortunate that a safe working environment cant be provided for these ladies ( even in the town health centre ). My opinion on 2 friends sharing is, they need to share for their own safety, but they then become criminals as well as us their visitors. It is very difficult to remove criminals and pimps from a business that operates like the one we are discussing . It is very very difficult to determine in 27 minutes ( allowing 3 min for companionship & a shower ) if a lady has been trafficked or coerced . I really like Asian ladies and at first would always have visited them. Now when I see their ads and " opted out of reviews " it gives me a very bad feeling. If I visited and left a less than positive review I would fear for their safety... With the Massive investment we are making in this industry we should have some input into how it is categorised and criminalised

2 men in court here recently for offences in 2018,both had admitted when questioned.
No conviction provided they paid 500 each to Ruhama! And of course named and shamed..

Janko, my difficulty with your posts is that you passively accept this nordic model as the way to deal with trafficking, ignoring things like safety and reduced rental costs as a reason why ladies would choose to share. If you are sincere about tackling trafficking, and I think you are, then advocate for decriminalisation, let the police in to check the sex workers have passports and are free to leave the country, the nordic model pushes things further underground and makes life more difficult for both the sex workers and punters.

That's a bit scary. Apologies for my ignorance but how do you find out about those kinds of offences? Is there a section in the local paper where the names are mentioned? I don't know about any of that kind of stuff.
