    Portugal will be devastated to lose tonight, they should have got at least 1 goal
    Belgium will be dangerous, hopefully De Bruyne will be OK for game with Italy

    Who do Portugal play their next competitive match against in September? Only Ireland. Could be a long 90 minutes for the Boys in Green when the match comes around if the Portuguese decide to show a reaction after this result. Whoever plays in goal and in defence for Ireland in that match is likely to have a very busy night.

    I missed the earlier match today. There was a goallfest in Copenhagen in the Spain-Croatia match. After their 5-3 extra time win Spain are through to the QFs where they will play the winners of tonight`s match. The World Cup runners up go out of the tournament and I expect that a few of their players will not be appearing in another one.

    Penalty awarded to Switzerland. Rodriguez takes the spot kick but Lloris saves it. A reprieve for the world champions but they still need to score themselves or else they will be going out of the tournament tonight. Benzema does score for Les Bleus. 1-1. 2 goals in 2 minutes for Benzema and the French have turned the match on its head. 2-1 to the world champions.
