True, you can't escape BB, but if you have a good idea of how their systems work you can make it close to impossible for them to trace you

I'm going to buy a new SIM card next week, but I won't start to use it for at least month, by which point CCTV of me buying the card will be gone

Most CCTV’s are on ground floor, many not even focusing on the lift.
So unless the apartment is located on the ground floor how would anybody know where “male visitors” are going??

unfortunately I have not being paying attention to cctv's but in this case the cctv was showing multiple male visitors to the apt

No management company or other is allowed to monitor a single apartment with CCTV - GDPR.

The cameras recording you at entrances, in the lift, off the lift, these still contain your personal information, and the data controller can only let it by downloaded by a guard who provides them with a written request. The data controller knows they can be prosecuted for sharing it with anyone else.

In this case they were able to tie the male visitors to the lady. I am not aware whether or not the Gardai were involved, but they were not mentioned. I have visited the apt block and I entered an apt on the ground floor

If an encounter is worth having then I wouldn’t be concerned about CCTV or the local gossip. They can mind their own business!
European/Irish legislation on what domestic CCTV can be used for, means it’s more for show/prevention than to catch and prosecute.

I think that really depends on who is watching the cctv and what are the consequences of being seen. What shocked me was that this lady had access to the footage through her job and that I have visited the apt.
