I imagine an escort would be given a very hard time by a competent defence barrister too.
I understand character assignation of the plaintiff is a standard part of any defence strategy, I think in the case of an escort it could be very harsh and distasteful.

Actually, your post has just triggered a thought . If you are unfortunately arrested and brought to court for 'buying sexual services' does the other party (the lady involved) also have to appear in court. What's the situation if she has gone home to her country or moved to work somewhere else.

No idea, if she works alone I think there is no case to answer on her part. If she works in company she has a case to answer?
Maybe somebody on here has that knowledge?

We all know that 'Lisa' from Italy is actually 'Leka' from Romania ... good luck to the Gardaí trying to get her in a courtroom .??!!!!.... so how can you be prosecuted if the 'offended' party is not present .... Doubt very much any escort is going to show up in court to give evidence. Seems the chances of you being convicted are tiny unless the guards literally catch you in the act or you break down under questioning and admit it.

I dont know the law here but in my country, as a client, u can always be represented by your lawyer u don't need to be physical present at the hearing.
