If the wife doesn't know then really it's a sad state of affairs and not a good reflection of the marriage itself.
Not married now but my marriage ended because I had two affairs and a child outside of the marriage. That was over 17 years ago and now it's all worked out very good for me on the whole. Its amicable with both ex's and great with my adult children.
