You simply disable 1 sim until you want to use it. It would put it in out of service state. It's ideal as no one will really think about it and you wouldn't need to have a second different phone that you have to hide somewhere, it's always on hand.

If using a dual sim phone then always check caller display when you get a call - especially when you're at the landmark awaiting final directions. Or at the very least don't answer the call using the escort's name.

Best solution ... use the only phone you have and ; delete, delete, delete,..... with a second phone there's always the chance you might leave it in your pocket ... use your own phone and it's easy remember to instantly delete every call and message you make or receive ... if you unfortunately get a text when with your 'beloved', ...well it's just SuperValu telling you Sirloin Steak is 50% off on Thursday !!!!.. thankfully I don't have any issues here ... carefree and single , pity I can't include the 'young' anymore ... I used to have a punting phone but I’d always have to keep it hidden on an outting and then trying to get it back to the hiding spot was never ideal. More hassle than it’s worth. I have had one or two close calls. Getting a text on a Monday after a Saturday late night booty call but in a comparison. Using my normal phone and deleting the shit out of it all is better than having a surplus phone that is a lot more obvious to any scouting eyes. Just my opinion: everyone to their own

As a long time user of several dual-sim phones, I'm not clear that this is an issue that would be any different compared with a single sim phone. Upon reading this comment, I had a quick browse through the contact settings on my own phone (Android OS), to see what potential issues that could arise based on your concerns expressed here, I didn't find anything that would appear to pose any additional risk about the settings with apps having access to contacts than already exist with a one-sim phone. In my phone at least, the contacts lists can be set for either the 'device' or any of the email accounts you register to the device, it does not appear (in my phone anyway) to separate the contacts into ones saved in different sims. And the apps (Whatsapp, Telegram, Viber, Signal, etc.) can potentially access any contact saved in the phone anyway, regardless of the phone being single or dual sim.

So if it's about making sure that certain contacts don't make it into what your downloaded apps can access, I'd say it's the same situation with either a dual or single sim phone.

I often worry about the smart phone tracking your location, go to "mygoogle" or whatever and it will frighten you.

With an old Nokia how do you look up a potential punt? Kind of defeats the purpose of a 2nd punting phone if you have to use the laptop/desktop/1st phone to view the ladies profile first ..

A few years back I got fed up carrying 2 phones for work and personal life. I started to use dual SIM to keep work contacts separate.
After a few months work contacts started showing up in my friend suggestions.
