Have you ever checked out a location that's new to you prior to visiting?

I couldn't imagine not doing it, to settle my nerves and be somewhat sure I won't be in the local paper for punting.

I believe this has helped me avoid hassle too.

Very good, I believe a lot of us punters are inclined to but less inclined to admit it.

If you pay attention before a booking one can see lots of loiterers.

Well I know Sandyford like the back of my hand .

So never need to do something like that as I live within walking distance never mind driving distance

I have to come down from the hills into the cities and towns to punt so I need to be sure.

Not many locations are new to me at this stage but I do check on Google earth for somewhere to park if I haven't been there before.
