Yes I'll be getting the vaccine whenever it's offered, probably many, many months from now.

I haven't heard anything even vaguely convincing from the "not enthusiastic about the vaccine" crowd. Certainly nothing science based. Lots of vague, impossible to prove stuff and whataboutery combined with absolute ignorance and conspiracy theories.

I'm in awe of gonzo attempting to educate certain posters. A wasted effort alas but possibly useful for those with non-closed minds and who lack the need to be always right.

Same could be said for most Covid victims.
According to the Cso 92% of deaths were from the over 70s, median age mid 80s.

Let's look at this.
The median age of death from Covid is 85, which is 3 or 4 years older than average life expectancy.

How come these people were past it when it's the vaccine that killed them, but a terrible loss ( and of course they all were a terrible loss ) when it comes to Covid related deaths?

To me it looks like you are suggesting we let Covid run its course with few if any precautions, your comments lead to that as a natural result . Excess death rates is where you are at as your primary point and after first lockdown ended the excess death rate went down so you have a point

However if we go that route of let it run we may as well build a multi storey dedicated High Court building solely for covid negligence against the HSE , I do not need to spell that out do I ?

Public Health legislation is v powerful and no government can cherry pick and rightly so

The knock on effect of Covid in the Health Service one way or another is now a grim reality and must be dealt with

Long Covid is now a growing long term problem

We cannot just carry on , I see no better solution than Vaccines

I am now v in favour of vaccine passports . If you and that other thing wish to refuse so be it . It is like a house on fire, your happy to let us put out the fire and take no risk but all the benefits

I think not , not only free loading but putting the rest of us at risk , Bring in Vaccine passports , if Israel can do it given their Holocaust history then no one else has a leg to stand on

I hear talk of it causing cancer , well smoking and obesity are far worse know risks never mind the damage of alcohol

As to the abuse posted here to Steph by that intellectual challenged thing , no surprise to me , I was expecting it to arrive.
