Thread: N95 Masks And Vaccines ...

  1. Exclamation N95 Masks And Vaccines ...

Generally speaking governments tend to move slow , so in light of that .. :

As of tomorrow ( Monday ) Austria and Germany both are making

N95 / Ffp2 masks Mandatory for all their citizens in shops and on

    public transport .

With the rapidly spreading [and apparently more ‘lethal’] new “UK variant”

fabric masks and surgical masks are no longer sufficient .

Please follow their lead - Do stock up on N95s / Ffp2 and wear those when

shopping or in the office or on public transport or whenever you cannot

    Social distance .

    Vaccines :

Seems Pfizer is pulling a fast one : they have contracted for x number of

doses of vaccine to be delivered to x country + to EU .

Now Pfizer claims there are 6 doses of vaccine in one vial instead of the 5 ,

and so they are obliged to deliver thousands of vials Less than was initially

agreed upon . Dirty tactics - it is leaving a shortfall of vaccine availability .

( the extra 6th dose can be extracted - not always - with a specialty syringe ,

that happens to be in extreme short supply )

: there will be delays in vaccine rollout if Pfizer is the only supplier available .

    Please plan ahead xx

And all you , do take care xx

/ please google the above info , or I will try to get some links .

    Do Get them Masks !

I will be trying to get better masks but not sure we can get them here

On vaccines this is now all getting a bit murky . On a v positive note the speed of getting so many so effective is awesome

however their are some WTF is goin on issues also as you mentioned Steph

Also did Astra Zeneca delay getting approval from EU by delaying submission of data ? Maybe someone in the know can enlighten me as to the v significant delay between UK and EU here ?

The decision of UK to put 12 week gap on 2nd Vaccine so they can do more is to me a huge risk and not to the UK alone if C 19 develops increased resistance to vaccine as a result . They are doing this with no evidence and I see British GPs now saying maximum 6 week delay

I cannot shake the feeling there are some politics / Brexit bullshit in the mix here , after all the UK will soon hit 100,000 deaths so what gives?

Production issues I can see that given sheer scale of it , but thus stuff is not helpful

finally we do not seem to be seeing a significant Anti Vax , I see reports on specific minorities in UK but hopefully they will get on board soon.

I'm nowhere near close to have a relevant medical knowledge but correct me if I'm wrong, isn't a standard procedure to test a new vaccine/medicine for like 5-10 years before it gets FDA approved and safe for the market? Is that the reason we need to take 2 shots for it to "work"? Everything about this vaccine just looks dodgy as hell...

Apparently BioNtech had been working on the vaccine since the sars outbreak over 10 years and covid is a variation of sars so thats why it was brought to market quicker.

I have been using the FFP2 since the start of Covid-19.
I buy them online from an Irish supplier who I have been using for over 10 years. Next day delivery if ordered by noon but with Covid-19 allow 2/3 days.

I’m virtually a prisoner in my own home as where I live you have to wear a mask at all times and in the street too . I was shopping got too hot, couldn’t breathe, collapsed smashed my head on the tiled floor, was out cold for about half an hour until I woke up in hospital with concussion. Panicked in the hospital as I didn’t know what was happening to me and somehow got home. I barely remember the next couple of days. No alcohol involved. Was glad when I went on hols to the UK and could be exempt.

Even with vaccines you can still transmit COVID so they are also not the answer. They are already trialing combination of anti virals for covid...just like when you take malaria tablets. Same principle. But for reducing any covid viral load. Cheap to make and readily available. The governments are not telling us what the scientists are saying which is why everything keeps chopping and changing. We’re looking at about 5 years for freedom. No conspiracy theory straight from the mouth of a scientist who I have known more more than 30 years to me on on WhatsApp this afternoon.

Very depressing and a 3rd friend of mine committed suicide last week after losing her business.

    Stay safe everyone

Just one point here, vaccines are the answer, just you need to get most people to take the vaccine. While you can still be a vector for the virus, if you do not get sick with it then you are unlikely to spread it very much.

If most people are vaccinated, most people don't get sick, it means there is less transmission, and the virus will start to Peter out.

Bottom line, get the vaccine, any vaccine, as soon as it is available.

I don't think it'll be 5 years, I'd say by this time next year we should be fairly back to normal.

Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. N95 is great but anything is better than nothing. Wear a mask if in a closed space with other people.

Anti Malarial treatments, you would need to take every day/month depending which one you get and are very expensive, the side effects can vary, from experience traveling, they can cause lots of problems. The worst side effect I recieved is nausea and dizziness, but can be as severe as bringing on loss of appetite, depression, anxiety etc. I guess those that have the money can get the best treatment and if you can't afford it, you get the cheapest and with that the more severe side effects
