I’m virtually a prisoner in my own home as where I live you have to wear a mask at all times and in the street too . I was shopping got too hot, couldn’t breathe, collapsed smashed my head on the tiled floor, was out cold for about half an hour until I woke up in hospital with concussion. Panicked in the hospital as I didn’t know what was happening to me and somehow got home. I barely remember the next couple of days. No alcohol involved. Was glad when I went on hols to the UK and could be exempt.
Even with vaccines you can still transmit COVID so they are also not the answer. They are already trialing combination of anti virals for covid...just like when you take malaria tablets. Same principle. But for reducing any covid viral load. Cheap to make and readily available. The governments are not telling us what the scientists are saying which is why everything keeps chopping and changing. We’re looking at about 5 years for freedom. No conspiracy theory straight from the mouth of a scientist who I have known more more than 30 years to me on on WhatsApp this afternoon.
Very depressing and a 3rd friend of mine committed suicide last week after losing her business.
Stay safe everyone

It seems that even HSE has problems with supplying a proper number of FFP2 masks for medical staff. I don't know how could they possibly make them obligatory for everyone.

The following point that you made should be highlighted and shared again & again .. " The decision of UK to put 12 week gap on 2nd Vaccine so they can do more is to me a huge risk and not to the UK alone if C 19 develops increased resistance to vaccine as a result . They are doing this with no evidence and I see British GPs now saying maximum 6 week delay " The UK gov have convinced a lot of people to avail of a single shot of the vaccine which is contradictory to all available data on such vaccines

Just one point here, vaccines are the answer, just you need to get most people to take the vaccine. While you can still be a vector for the virus, if you do not get sick with it then you are unlikely to spread it very much.
If most people are vaccinated, most people don't get sick, it means there is less transmission, and the virus will start to Peter out.
Bottom line, get the vaccine, any vaccine, as soon as it is available.
I don't think it'll be 5 years, I'd say by this time next year we should be fairly back to normal.
Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. N95 is great but anything is better than nothing. Wear a mask if in a closed space with other people.
