    Default RIP Jerry kiernan

I see that Jerry Kiernan has died at the relatively young age of 67. He had a lengthy athletics career with the highlight definitely being his 9th place finish in the 1984 Olympic Marathon in LA. After he retired from running he moved onto coaching and was also a regular pundit on RTE` s athletics coverage. RIP.

Excellent athlete and excellent analysis at events. Coached some fantastic athletes over the years. Will be missed at the Irish senior championships every year.
