Diana Johnson MP has introduced a 10 min rule bill today calling for the Nordic Model in England & Wales and a ban on Escort advertising websites, The bill was passed and will now move forward to the next stage in the process. I should have titled post-England and wales and not the U.K, apology

MP Lyn Brown made an excellent speech against the bill. The bill passed its first reading in the House of Commons, There were not many MPs at the reading, less than 15, some standing at the door, it was a ten-minute rule bill, there were speeches for and against and a verbal vote to decide whether it would progress to a second reading, The bill will be prepared in more detail for its second reading on 29th of January.

Review sites like certain site where the mods do not challenge them on anything they write, in fact, the opposite the more abusing the better is to blame for this bill and the media attention surrounding it

It seems an increasing amount of pro-Nordic model research is put together partly by stalking Review sites/escort sites and cherry-picking comments/information or if they cannot find what is needed they just make things up , I have also seen comments in the past from a young lady connected to the number of NGOs, She is an evangelist Christian, but hides this fact, She has commented that one of her best resources in how to make the law more effective was monitoring conversations on review sites. Eventually in the future, they will have people monitoring conversations outside of the male toilets in nightclubs or on dating sites and assembling notes, friends of theirs will put together research showing casual hookups lead to increases in sex trafficking, Chatting a girl up could be redefined as Coercion/force, paying for a taxi can be transportation/payment and the consensual casual sex can be redefined as maybe a form of violence.

sure we already had some group of self appointed spokeswomen for women declare if a woman has more than the legal drink driving limit in alcohol consumed a man can't take the consent she has given as genuine.
The drink driving limit is 1 pint and that assertion infantalizes women.
I wonder would the same claim be made for similar consent offered to a big bulldyke.

Reality is as Trafficking in the UK is through the roof at present and Brexit will only add further to the problem so you will see various measures taken to curb it, sadly not always well thought out though.

Private member Ten Minute Rule Bills rarely get beyond the second reading. It's possible, but it requires Parliamentary time which is in short supply in this session. A very small group are using/exploiting the fact there is a covid pandemic etc, to attempt to sneak/push this ideologically driven bill as forward as possible, Shameful behavior.Originally Posted by The Libertarian

I think there are more than enough examples of people standing up for consent, and challenging ideas of exploitation on this site to provide a more balanced view, is anyone gathering that data i wonder?
