WELL.., actually no. they didn't save for my parents... they didn't give them all their life a penny, not even me as a granddaughter never bought me a candy ... once I remember my grandma gave me money to buy a bus ticket to go home from her as was late and didn't want to leave me walking and when I got home my mom already knew she gave me the money for the bus ticket because she rang her to let her know she owns the bus ticket money)))... My parents were not in need for that money but u know all money are welcomed when coming for free

I think that in this country that this may have been a result of the potato famine and it was drummed into future generations to always have enough money put away to be able to support yourself in an emergency.

My own parents would never have dreamt of taking out a mortgage, they would have seen this as a milestone.

And again they too would have put a little bit away but unlike your Grandparents they didn't cut out "luxuries" like ice cream but still didn't do anything extravagant-no foreign holidays for instance.

I know that whatever time I leave this mortal coil I will have enjoyed myself with as many "luxuries" as I could afford.

And I won't be leaving much money behind me so nothing to fight over !
Nothing bad to put a litlle money away for ''rainy days'' but u need to be balanced not to go into extremes as my grandparents did and your parents were very calculated and balanced saving but enjoying and their life as much they could, my grandparents were just stingy people I suppose. I understood the fact they went thru war, my grandfather was a prisoner at Russians and they starved the prisoners so I always thought all the saving every little piece of bread etc is because the experience he went thru marked him but still they had good salaries both teachers they could a little bit indulge in little things. I will not do the same mistake as they did. I save but I do enjoy and myself when I can as little or more I can. When the last day will come I will die happy at the list I do it what I wanted when I wanted as much life allowed me to do it.

That reminds me my granny bestie. No family, no kids, never bought anything, just saved all, lived the most basic life with her cats. Nothing bad about it. She wrote will on friends name to take care of her cat. And gave her 50k in that will. When she died all diamonds, gold, jewelry was gone. Friend put cat in pond. The rest of money. Big ones! On account and apartment got government. As she didn’t had anybody and didn’t wrote will. Even for let’s say for charity or so on. That’s in my eyes waste of life. Actually sad one.

We have saying. If I have to go to hell. Then on proper horse.

Basically live your best life to don’t regret anything if you end up in hell. At least there will be warm

So that's the potential savings of just one Punter, I think this shows just how much the Ladies are loosing out on during this Pandemic

If you do have some spare cash just sitting in your mattress or Bank account then reach out to your favorite lady and see if they need help??

That is some savings, he was saying when he returns to punting he will be like a novice again. If he remains a virgin till next March (12 months) he will have saved 9,600. What use is money to him and all the fun he has missed out on though lol.

Shame on that so-called ''friend'' to put the poor cat in a pond. for the 50k she got she could care about that animal.Once again the fact comes true that you never know who your friends are
