Walked away from an ATM without cash.

Has anyone ever done this ?
I’m totally distracted and not in a good head space at the moment.

I took a few hundred out of an ATM today, only to walk away without the money ! Only realised when I got home and went to put it in a birthday card !

So I either made someone’s day, and if so best of luck to them.

But does anyone know if the money isn’t taken within a certain time will the machine take it back and refund the account?

That's very unlucky . A few months ago i bought a brand new cologne and left it on the bus never to be seen again.

I think some ATM's do that , maybe contact your bank.

I did it myself a good few years ago luckily the machine drew it in before anyone came along. I cant remember exactly how I found out it was back in the account it was in the days before online banking

Actually I’m kind of hoping that I made someone’s day now. In these days of constant doom and gloom. 500 might make a difference to someone.

The machines used to suck the money back in, but a lot of beeping involved. If it was in a busy area I'd say you're out of luck, soz.

yeah,but the way this world works,u know rightly it was some rich asshole type that found it!
