Thread: American visitors

  1. #1

    Default American visitors

I really can't believe that Ireland has resumed allowing flights from USA to land in Ireland... After many months of lockdown, continued restrictions and sacrifices made... I won't visit family in UK and can't enjoy a night out with friends .. yet the government are happy to play Russian Roulette with Covid and Tourism.. It really feels like we are being given the middle finger!!!

They bow and welcome their fat imperial overlords and fiddle the books for them to offset the cost of the trip.

Thankfully the red carpet is not being rolled out by restaurants and pubs there is being no warm welcome provided to tourists who are not adhering to quarantine

The thing is nobody will know if they followed quarantine regulations, only way for a restaurant to know is to ask to see the ticket they flew in on otherwise a blanket ban would be the sensible option, we can survive until next year without tourists and likewise we don’t need to go anywhere that desperately, why are we taking chances with this?, it defies understanding

Ah they have no manners down there, a simple no would suffice, we’d like Americans to come back next year
