Thread: New furry friend

  1. #1

    Default New furry friend

Iv been wanting to get a dog for ages, had big dogs before, all rescued. So I don't mind winning trust and training. I'm due to get my own place which would be more suitable for a pooch at the end of the year. Anyone a recommendation on breeds?

White or Black Labrador train easily
While Brown Labradors take longer to mature, but show much love..

If you want something small, a Jack Russel.

Staffy for a medium size dog, very intelligent and loyal.

It really depends on your lifestyle, personality and work arrangements in my opinion, if you share I could maybe recommend a few.

If you are somebody who can't get out of the house too much, then a Pug or a French Bulldog would be ideal, but they don't have along life as many dogs, they can live between the ages of 6 to 12 years.

They don't need to be taken out for long walks, if they have plenty of room to move about in the home, they will be happy.
But of course, they do need to be taken out so that they can piss and shit.

You just have to take what's available or else you'll have to wait and pay big money. If you just want a dog and don't care if it's pedigree then you can get it a lot cheaper. I bred Jack Russell and cost money to get a good male to come visit her. Even then she might not like him. I think older dogs don't like teenage dogs as much
