Maybe the reason most men are misarable and their wives are in charge ..

Once again, I can only speak from my experience. I have been meeting escorts for 15 years and I have spoke to a lot of girls about their job and only one girl I met said her family knew that she worked as an escort. The overwhelming reaction was "are you mad my Dad/Mam would kill me"! So most of the girls I have met are not even comfortable with the idea of how they would be judged if they were open to their family and friends about their profession.

I would say that different jobs would even provoke different responses. You were a warehouse worker lifting boxes all day, no one would bat an eyelid that you visit escorts.

But if you were working for PWC and word got around, the response would be different. You could damage your career prospects.

That's a fair point. I think also it varies from country to country. A friend of mine worked in the financial sector in Geneva a number of years back and the culture within the office was Friday night pints and then an escort.

Yes. But would I be comfortable introducing her to my friends as someone I met while visiting her in her job as an escort, I wouldn't unfortunately.

Of course a guy and an escort can be mates. There are a couple or 3 ladies that advertise (or used to at least) that I would consider my friends and I hope they feel likewise.

I don't choose my friends based on how comfortable, or uncomfortable, i would be introducing them to other friends. If i was in a situation where i was introducing them to other friends i would simply say "we dated briefly and decided to remain friends" Problem solved.

My favourite escorts are my favourite because a) i find them physically attractive b) i like their company. So yes, i could easily be friends with them and would jump at the chance. I think i would still like the option to visit and pay for their services though. A bit like how you would still take your car to your mechanic friend

Ive seen comments on journal and the boards calling escorting "paid rape." I dont agree with that of course, but there is huge stigma against escorts and their clients.

Unfortunately so. Hopefully it will change whereby it's as socially acceptable as any other service industry. But in my experience most escorts don't want to be friends with clients.

On three occasions down through the years I have met escorts out and about and they all turned and walked the other way when we made eye contact. Having said that I do tend to have that affect on women in general 😂.
