I suspect that comment of Sky from Lionel Shriver is more of a rant against the realities of covid-19 and the effect it is having on her career. However, as you say we cannot stay in lockdown forever and there needs to be a middle ground. Unfortunately, all scientific advice is that any easing will bring about a fresh wave. It is all about how much risk we are willing to live with.

Noticed Garda not social distancing, I heard some place they don't have to, that they are partnered up with a co worker and if either gets ill they both self isolate

The letters are gas, I could be holding up my birth cert and get waved on, not read once,

I have a friend meeting some **** dates and says he's going to see his child and hadn't been questioned further, this was a drive from Dublin to mayo lol and back, two check points, only dublin side... Worth a shot if in doubt, worst they'll tell you is to go home, bla bla bla, really fed up now with it all now, need a hug never mind a romp haha
