Default The restart of contact services

So feeling that contact services can restart probably some time in June.
Phase 2 or 3 to use the Government method.
Flights into Ireland restarting during June also with a gradual build up until peak in July / August with full restoration of services in September. What do people think?

There is not going to be a "magic" date when on one day it is not going to be safe and the next day it is. There was always the chance if you visited an escort who had a cold or flu or whatever, that you were going to become infected and then pass it on and vice versa. It is the case that Covid-19 is now going to be just another infection to be reckoned with in our lives, whatever we do.

At least with this event, having a break from the punting is saving a lot of money so you'll be able to continue when it's all over. I'll be glad to get back

It is reckoned most people (eight out of ten people at a rough estimate) will get Covid-19 in the near or medium term. It is a matter of not having too many people sick, too many needing hospital treatment, and too many dying in a short space of time .

That's the most pessimistic stance on it.

Yea this is basically what is meant by flattening the curve. People still get infected, but over a longer period of time and the health service can manage it.

Yes agreed. Covid 19 is now a reality of life in much the same way TB was for earlier generations.
Once the initial surge has died down life will return to a new normal and each new phase of the infections will have to be dealt with on a risk based basis.
Talk of a vaccine is premature as it could take years even if it's discovered, tested and mass manufactured on a fast tracked model.
People will get infected and while I hate to use the term 'herd immunity' will ultimately be the best defense until a better solution is discovered.
