32 new cases today, figures slowly heading in the wrong direction, if it were up to me pubs and clubs wouldn’t be opening anytime soon, now that airports are open we seem to be intent on importing new cases, not sure why we bothered locking down for 3 months if we are just going to piss away all the good work. People under 30 are not distancing as it is, is it wise to let clubs open?

I think people thought that shutting down the country would eliminate the virus. But yea i agree once you open up the pubs and clubs, rates will just go up.

I think what you will see is localized shut downs, whereby one city or place is locked down.

I think we have to live with it tbh. The lockdown is going to cost 40 to 50 billion, so they cannot do a full one again. In hindsight, maybe Sweden was right all along.

Personally the best thing you can do is wear a mask. The economy has to restart. It could get ugly by Winter i feel. Although the death is only between 0.2% and 1%.

I was discussing this recently, there is zero chance of another lockdown, it’s never going to happen as we simply can’t afford it, it’s been stated that localised measures will be taken in the event of an outbreak, not sure how this would be enforced but it does make sense, we can survive without pubs and clubs for a while until we see the effect of a rising R number, the majority of new cases won’t need treatment just isolation so hopefully it can be controlled without more extreme measures

Worst scenario will be lock down town or area with huuuge amount of cases. There is no way to shut down economy again.

I look forward to meeting you soon, lovely Gentlemen ♡

I don’t think it will even get to that stage, the HSE seem to have a good testing system in place and will be able to deal with clusters, not sure on exact figures but out of 40,000 tests done in the last 7 days only about 150 came back positive, we’re not in second wave territory yet, don’t pay too much attention to the media, they love a good drama

It’s the right decision, now they need to limit the amount of people coming into the country

Don’t miss them as much as I thought I might.
