Yes, it's a very serious situation and very concerning. But please, stop hitting the hysteria button.
I am travelling to SE Asia on business next week and have no plans to cancel at this time. Americans tend to get far more spooked about these scenarios and shut down in their bunkers.
I will of course be far more conscious of contact and interaction, but the world has to goes on.

FYI - Most face masks sold here are useless to protect you from infection
You need a face mask that conforms to the FFP3 standard
"A well fitting FFP3 mask will protect against fine toxic particulates including asbestos, bacteria, viruses and radioactive particles.
Due to the thickness of the filter material an exhalation valve is almost always fitted."

As Stephanie says the only advantage of a face mask is that it stops you rubbing your mouth and nose.

Still out here Barney. No major issues where I am. A number of confirmed cases but as I understand it, they made full recoveries and have been discharged cleared of the virus.
The people and authorities here are acting responsibly and awareness is high. Otherwise, life is going on as normal.
Having said all that, I will be going for a check up on return.

Some 242 deaths overnight from the new coronavirus were recorded in the Chinese province of
Hubei on Wednesday - the deadliest day of the outbreak.
There was also a huge increase in the number of new cases,
with 14,840 New people diagnosed with the virus in a single day .
China sacked two top officials in Hubei province hours after the new figures were revealed.
Until Wednesday's increases, the number of people diagnosed in Hubei - where the outbreak emerged - was stabilizing .
But the new cases and deaths in the province have pushed the national death toll above 1,350 -
- with almost 60,000 infections in total / that we know of atm .
China has been accused of suppressing the full extent of the outbreak in the past;
these latest figures will raise fresh questions about the true mortality rate of the virus . / BBC

- their Frontline Health-workers are falling ill - will be no one to care for ill..
^^^ this is ‘China News’ - reality may be much more dire .

Have to say though : So Far they have done a remarkable job at Containing the spread
of this Illness !
Perhaps the Chinese will learn in time One disaster at-a-time : Earliest alarm , soonest Intervention
