But when Pearse Doherty posted on Twitter FB and anywhere else he could about his wife going back nursing they were heroes ... Oh the irony

It's nearly time for their long summer holiday. We might finally see some legislation next September.

Well if the party members don't back the agreement then it will most likely mean another election in the autumn. I think that it will go through though.

Think you are right. Doubt it will get through with the members of FF or the Greens. FF and FG will get hammered but especially FF if they go to election without even attempting a conversation with SF. FF may change their leader should it not get passed by members and then speak to SF and some on the left. Strange and uncertain months ahead I think.

This is gonna get real ugly when they tax the cost of living ( home heating and transport fuel ) and bail out airlines and the like.

People are getting real sick of the double talking jive.

Micheal Martin has been elected as the new Taoiseach, the 15th in total and the first Corkman since Jack Lynch resigned in 1979. He will name his Cabinet this evening and the new government will have a baptism of fire with all the issues that urgently need action taken.

Well they are safe for at least 3 months, till they return from their summer holidays. But my guess is 3 years, there will be a few new ministers that will want to cement their pensions so unlikely to throw the rattle out of the crib before then.
