It is safe over there, very safe.
I drank bottled beer, JD and coke etc and survived. When you order drinks they put all your receipts in a wooden container on your table and you settle up when you leave. I always checked them and it was fine. The girls and ladyboys will always ask you to buy them a drink which are more expensive than normal but still only maybe a fiver. More times than not i refused to buy them one and they don't get offended. If you like them well buy them one. They get to keep maybe €2 of that drink as a commission so no big deal.
In relation to bringing them back to your room it is safe so long as you aren't a fool leaving your valuables lying around. Put them in your room safe....simple as. Basic common sense you would use anywhere in the world.
By law (displayed in a frame on the hotel reception desk) every girl or ladyboy going to your hotel room has to show the reception their ID. The hotel reception will then phone you asking were you expecting someone. Once you say yes they will allow them up. Once you are finished and the girl/LB goes to leave the hotel they will phone you to ask if everything is okay before they allow her to leave. Great system and they have a record just in case you were robbed.
I never felt unsafe over there and felt safer than i do in nearly every european city I've been to.
Just go there and have the most fantastic horniest experience you will ever have.

Do NOT use ATMs - my card was scimmed a couple of years ago - thanks to AIB

if ur paranoid u can do all the above, but I went in February and its a very safe place; yes you have to put ur passport and cash into the safe but you would do that in spain wouldn't you!

the place is amazing, I stayed in pattaya for 10 days, 15 mins from walking street or jump on the baht bus and its 2 mins.
I payed around 450e for flights, that was with a 2hr stop over in Qatar, and 25e a night in the Travelodge (inc.breakfast) but you can get a good hotel for 20e. the taxi from Bangkok to pattaya cost me 1300 baht but that was pre-booked, you can get one cheaper on the day but I didn't want the hassle so pre-booked through someone I know.
I wouldn't recommend the Travelodge I found the room too small especially when u have a guest!

the ladies and lady boys cost anything from 1000 baht (25e) for short time (around 30-60mins) up to 5k baht long time (overnight), never pay the first price quoted, u have to haggle otherwise they will take u for a mug but do as u wish!

you have to try pattaya once, would I go back....yes!!

some women and some ladyboys u would only dream off shagging overnight...but in patttaya, u can!
all affordable too, I had a lass stay overnight, I only wanted short time but coz she was sound and very energized and HOT I asked her to stay, she charged me 3000 baht (75e) and also came for breakfast, shagged me to death before leaving at 11am, in Ireland it would cost you 1000e-2000e. crazy.
