From my own experience I have only been asked for references twice. Once from a Welsh escort, and once from an Irish escort, both of which are no longer working.

It was rare in the past, but for a number of reasons, mostly around safety, it seems (from what I read on these boards) to be becoming more common recently. (Again from what I read on theses boards) it seems to be mostly Irish or British girls asking for it.

There was a spate of high profile robberies before christmas, made us all a little more cautious, which we should be anyway. It was women being robbed in hotel rooms after someone irish made a booking, beaten badly too.

The only escorts profiles that ive seen needing it are Irish ladies who provide longer appointments. Ladies who provide short appointments, maybe for your lunch break for example, don't tend to do it as it would take too long and clients can just go elsewhere if they need an escort who can accommodate short notice appointments. Sometimes girls dont turn up for your date so short notice escorts are very helpful to keep you company instead
