I would see Leeds as favourites, but the occasion often suits the underdog.
It is basically a PL game .
I go for 3-1 to Leeds.

Hopefully Southampton for me, Get Bazuma back to the premiership and a West Ham loaned Flynn downes has had a great season for them.

Deloitte reckon winning the games earns a team 140 million over the next three years in revenue and 305 million if they stay up in the first year. No wonder they call it the richest game in football. I have been at two of them when they were held in Cardiff 2004 Crystal Palace v West Ham and 2005 Preston North End v West Ham…… for the very observant, there two years in a row indicates how the result went in 2004

Also the fact that PNE were not in PL indicates how result went in 2005 .

Saints or leeds, whose going to be in the pl next season? How much is this game worth to the team that wins? I'll go for saints, maybe 2-1.

Finished 3-1. Well done saints. So who will make a quick return to the pl, leeds or saints? Saints beat them 2-1 at elland road on the final day of the regular season.

wouldn't read too much into the final day game. Leeds had to go for it and left themselves open at the back.

I saw a stat somewhere that leeds have never got promoted via the play off route. I wonder is that right, not even sure how many play offs they have been in.

Leeds have been in the play-off 5 times (most recently Derby under Bielsa) and never won.

also Will Smallbone with an Irish connection in the middle for the Saints, a decent little baller. shown he can do it for Ireland.

there a couple of extra factors to the game. Leeds captain Liam Cooper contract is up so likely his last game for the club. Stuart Dallas leaving too, the old guard.
Leeds have finance concerns weighing on them. If they don't get to the promised land a few of the younger players Summerville,Gray,Gnonto likely sold.
Social media is full of messages from former players/American celebrities shouting them on. this could go either way for Leeds, drive them on or crumble.

Game should be close (might even go to penos) but with Leeds firepower and pace (which hopefully clicks) going to go for them to nick it. Might pop into the bar next year

And I was back in 2006 for the FA Cup final Ryan, enough said about that. Got back to Fishguard for a 10pm sailing that night on a fast ferry to Rosslare Harbour. Boat had developed engine problems so ended up getting to Rosslare at 8am the next morning….sure it is all part of following the hammers
