West Brom beat their Midlands rivals Derby 2-0 which puts the Baggies top of the table and closer to automatic promotion. The Rams are still in contention for a playoff place. This afternoon Middlesbrough beat Millwall 2-0 which lifts Boro out of the relegation places and is a huge setback to Millwall`s playoff hopes. At HT Swansea lead Birmingham 2-1, Bristol City lead Hull 1-0 and Wigan lead QPR by the same scoreline.

Swansea beat Birmingham 3-1 which means the Swans are a point below the playoff places. Bristol City beat Hull 2-1 which means Hull stay in the relegation places. Wigan beat QPR 1-0 but are still facing a 12 point penalty which could still mean they will be relegated at the end of the season.

Leeds thrashed Stoke 5-0 this evening to go back top of the table a point ahead of West Brom and move ever closer to automatic promotion. Stoke stay a point above the relegation places and are still in serious danger of dropping through the trapdoor.
