Norwich came from behind to beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 away this afternoon and go 10 points clear at the top the Championship table and stay on course for automatic promotion. The Owls stay in the relegation places with games running out for them to avoid the trapdoor.

Looks like Swansea will lose to Bournemouth, battle for second is going to be close, but Watford are now favorites

Bournemouth beat Swansea 3-0 which boosts their playoff chances. Watford`s 4-1 win against Rotherham puts them 3 points clear of Swansea in 2nd place. although the Welsh team do have a game in hand. Rotherham stay in the relegation places. Derby came from 2 goals down to draw 2-2 with Brentford which leaves the London team still in 4th place. The meeting of the former Irish international managers`teams ended 0-0 between Cardiff and Stoke. Middlesbrough beat Preston 2-0. Luton beat Coventry 2-0 which leaves the Midlands club still in danger of dropping into relegation trouble.

Norwich beat Notts Forest 2-0 away tonight to go 10 points clear at the top of the Championship table and another step closer to automatic promotion. Forest are still not clear of relegation worries. Barnsley beat Wycombe 3-1 away to go into 5th place in the table and leapfrog over Reading who lost to Birmingham 2-1. Sheffield Wednesday drew 1-1 with their fellow Yorkshire team Huddersfield but still look to be heading for the relegation trapdoor. QPR beat Millwall 3-2, Blackburn drew 0-0 with Bristol City.

Norwich drew 1-1 with Blackburn today to stay top of the table 7 points clear of Watford who beat Birmingham 3-0. Swansea stay in 3rd place after losing 1-0 at home in the Welsh derby to Cardiff who move closer to a playoff place themselves. Brentford drew 1-1 with Notts Forest to stay in the playoff places. Barnsley lost 2-1 at home to their fellow Yorkshire club Sheffield Wednesday who still remain in deep relegation trouble. Reading drew 1-1 with QPR but also remain in the playoff places. Rotherham beat Bristol City 2-0 away which leaves the Yorkshire club still in the relegation zone but with a number of games in hand over the teams above them. Millwall beat Middlesbrough 1-0, Stoke beat Derby also 1-0, Luton beat Preston by the same scoreline and Coventry drew 0-0 with bottom club Wycombe.

Swansea beaten tonight and watford win. Maybe the race for 2nd place wont be close afterall. Watford 9pts ahead of swansea. Its looking very much like norwich and watford will make a quick return to the pl.

Don`t write off Brentford just yet anyway. They have 2 games in hand over Norwich and Watford and are still in with a reasonable chance of taking the 2nd automatic promotion place.
