I think West Brom play QPR while 3rd placed Brentford play bottom of the table Barnsley so there is a potential banana skin there.

Leeds marked being crowned Champions and promotion to the PL by coming from behind this afternoon to beat Derby 3-1 which moves them on to 90 points for the season with just 1 game left to play. The Rams who had playoff hopes up to last midweek will now finish in mid table.

Barnsley score a late late goal so Forest not guaranteed a play off spot just yet ! A lifeline for bottom of the table Barnsley though .

It finishes 1-0 to Barnsley. Forest are still 3 points ahead of Swansea in 7th but are plus 11 in goal difference and Swansea plus 6 so even defeat in their final game they may be still ok for the playoffs.

Barnsley will take their battle against relegation to the final game of the season after their late injury time winner today. Forest are still not guaranteed a play off place and need a point from their final game. Hull are now effectively relegated.

Nigel Pearson wasn`t the only manager to be fired today. Huddersfield boss Danny Cowley who lead the club to within a point of guaranteed safety from relegation with just one match of the season left to play after they beat West Brom on Friday evening was shown the door today. Who would want be a football team manager in the professional game anyway when this is their reward?

If I was getting a big cash payout every time I was sacked I'd be a very happy man ! In both these cases it's hard to understand the timing though....

I`m not sure how big a payout Cowley will be getting. Huddersfield are not one of the richer clubs even though they had a couple of seasons in the PL.
