She makes a number of good points but two that stand out from me from a punters viewpoint are

(1) "What we hear a lot is that Gardai don’t even know the law sometimes"

(2) "For those who purchase services off of sex workers, it’s hard to arrest them as it’s hard to prove purchase.

Those who are convicted presumably “confessed” to what they were doing because it doesn’t happen in the space.
The Gardai could talk to you afterwards, but it’s impossible to prove."

Remember the Guards do know the law and wont raid unless they got the warrant, it is very easy to prove you got sex as these escorts who are sharing
are giving clients up to same themselves, that is the Guards Ace card.
As I said many times on here the escorts dont know us, we are strangers and they owe us nothing so Im not blaming them at all so think about that for a moment instead of listening to this other nonsense and stay safe and keep to the totally independent escort where risk is very minimal, you can still visit and enjoy the escort visit but be smart

I too have met Kate, and she is a wonderful girl, but the gardai know how to prosecute too. Even if the case is not proved and you are found innocent, your name will appear in the news. And of course a google search will reveal your name for eternity.

I'd say the government are worse, its a woman's choice when it comes to abortion but apparently not if she decides to pursue a certain career. Can't have it both ways. Goes to show you how fake our "progressive" our politicians really are.

I find Kate to be not much help to the cause and not up for the job, really just a mouthpiece
Firstly her interviews make her out to be very unknowledgeable about the whole industry and which does more harm than good, now shes going on about the Guards and only making things worse here too.
Why does she not concentrate on getting the new law overturned, stop talking and do something, laura lee was that person who walked the walk, the bravest lady I knew and she fought for us and was trying to overturn the law, when she died it was all over and They let her down too, where are you kate? I give praise when its deserved but no effort made at all to step into her shoes, to continue her fight in the courts, just empty words, what about the big donations that were give to help fund the cause where I contributed too on serveral occasions because of Laura and for what now?? where is that money kate?? what did you do with it? your going all the wrong way about this and alienating people. It really saddens me on how this has went and is going

We both have different opinions about Kate......... but sure that is life.

All users on here need to have a better understanding of the new law than the guards.

I know kate can sometimes be hard to follow.

She is super intelligent and the best advocate for sex worker rights I have ever seen.

I do believe the whole issue is about labour rights & she is the only one talking about it.

I'm so pissed off with SIPTU and their stance on sex workers, ashamed even.

She does not know her stuff, even in recent interviews she has done, its so clear that that is true, she makes a hash of it and makes it worse.
She simply does not come across well and she is no laura lee who was a great lady and warrior who took the fight to the courts and which kate and SWAI should have continued but there was simply no one of laura's calibre to to pull it off there.
and why is she blaming the Guards, FFS they are not even enforcing the law properly here and if they did then she would have something to actually talk about
Kate is shouting and mouthing but making no different at all, this will only be won in the courts
