I don't understand why this is still a thing needing a TV license, especially with all the shit that is on it nowadays.
A lot of countries, it is not a thing but I guess rip off Ireland won't let this one go anytime soon.

It would appear we need a licence to have sex. Why not a licence to watch TV? I wonder what else the buggers will decide needs a licence?

That ad on tv is really interesting. The truth is that everyone has to pay a tv licence, it's a direct tax on everyone regardless of whether you watch TV or not, the sneaky "one of the terms and conditions of living in Ireland " comment in the ad is said in a jokey way on the ad, but it's actually a fact. No way to avoid the tv licence unless you're homeless (and don't own a mobile phone that can stream RTE content!!). Every house can technically receive RTE content.

It is a rip off and getting worse, Property tax is up in price too
There a new NOx Tax coming in in January on Vehicles so if you got a UK car you are thinking of importing and have not got round to it then check it out and maybe get it in before then
For Example a 2017 Ford Focus Diesel will cost you 2600 euro on top of the normal VRT, Import it before new year and its Free so don't be caught out

    Your Mickey.
If you don't pay you'll be signed up for a free sex change.

Thank God for hospital waiting lists. They'll keep you waiting a few years.
