To me pimp conjures up an image (probably from usa tv) of a guy forcing a girl to work and taking most of her money with violence or the threat of violence which I believe we all agree is wrong , I think what happens to the non independents is they have an “agent” who arranges travel , accommodation , and possibly answers the phone for a fee.

I do think most of those pimped are not forced or coerced to any significant extent but do have to hand over unreasonable
