Totally agree with you, but some ladies who do smoke, make sure they smell amazing, you would hardly notice, it depends on the lady, some just don't care about the client.

I absolutely despise the smell of smoke off someone. As a non smoker I do get picky with whom I go to see.
Been lucky so far but some of them are probably smokers (which is ok) but I never got the smell or taste.
It's weird but the smell of smoke sticks to some people more than others.

Most cases, smoker cannot lie to a non smoker about how they don't smoke.
Our sense of smell is much stronger than a smokers, I know mine is stronger than many non smokers.

I agree with you, not only in case of cigarettes, but everything, If I am meeting someone and ask for a high standard regarding to hygiene, mine has to be the same or higher.

Sadly not every one has the same high standards as you. I don't mind of the lady smokes but don't lie to me about it. Mind you there have been some I have met and only found out later they were smokers such was their ability to avoid the smell having an effect and I still return to see them.
