Default Stupid statement by the press and police.

Do they even know the difference between independent and trafficked sex workers.

As to be expected, government and the media lie constantly regarding sex work as they know their lies will go unchallenged.

It's not that big of a deal because they're talking specifically about human trafficking... although I do take issue with the assertion that people who buy sex regularly will inevitably buy it from someone who has been trafficked. Data from the most recent report on sex work shows that the overwhelming majority of men stick to established escorts with good reputations.

Its misinformation. Data as you said is available so why should this report stand without being challenged. I still think someone from SWAI should address this news report.

They didnt say anything that would indicate misinformation really. The copper stated "if you visit girls regularly, there is a high chance that SOME of your visits will be victims of trafficking"... So If I have seen 500 girls, who is to say 1 of those was not trafficked... I dont know!!! Doubtful, but I dont know.

Exactly who is to say. This cooper certainly isn't. You dont know, i dont know. So if he doesn't know he shouldn't make claims that he cant back up. SWAI should have been asked to give an interview. People are trafficked for slave labor but this report chose to target the sex industry.

Well he did only say that there was only a high chance, but I get where you are coming from...

SWAI are not very good at fighting for any of us and anyone with a braincell will know most girls that are trafficked are for sex work as that where the most money is to be made, sex and drugs is big big business
