The storm names as of 1st September 2023 until 31st August 2024 are:

Agnes, Babet, Ciarán, Debi, Elin, Fergus, Gerrit, Henk, Isha, Jocelyn, Kathleen, Lilian, Minnie, Nicholas, Olga, Piet, Regina, Stuart, Tamiko, Vincent, Walid

Quite a few unusual names in there but no doubt those names will be remembered in some places for all the wrong reasons.

As it turned out storm Agnes was just a wet windy day but hit the east coast so it made news. Scaremongering at its best.

Babet will arrive tomorrow. Just heavy blustery rain except for the North of Scotland.

Hopefully, another Agnes, fairly mild with little damage or threat to life.

Jeeze midelton in cork got an awful doing with rain. A months rain in 24 hours. Houses, cars, streets all flooded.

The army has been brought in to help. Cars almost covered in water, its like a river going down the street. People out in canoes.
