Think it was just a very old building, nothing to do with the weather as far as I know.

Yes i heard since that it was 100 years. But i think the reason it fell was to do with renovations to a building beside the pub. They must have went too close when digging out some of the new foundation. Nice one for insurance companies to sort out if thats what actually happened.

    Debi is on her way!

Status red wind warnings for Clare, East Galway and South Roscommon between 3am and 5am this Monday. [In other words, this Sunday night]
Status red wind warnings for Offaly and Westmeath between 5am and 7am this Monday.

The entire island of Ireland is forecast to have a spell of heavy rain and strong winds.

    1. NOOOOOooooo 😭 !!

    2. This morning was absolutely Lashing against my windows and on the glass ceiling !! Frightening even .

    3. But it’s the Season , and much easier to bear than what we had in July / Aug 🌧 ☔️ . That was just

    Uncalled for .

Could still cry though : how very much more I’d prefer a crisp dry Fall - but Ireland ☘️ ! X

    The WIND !!

Don’t think I remember ever such high winds in Dub .

Or perhaps my other apartments were less exposed ?

    Though ::

Some years back I lived on top floor of Alto Vetro : tall skinny glass building in G Canal .

Moved in in January : one evening after a day of entertaining I’m on the couch

sipping on a glass of wine , and all of a sudden everything is just swaying , me getting woozy ,

saying to myself “surely I hadn’t had That much to drink 🍷 ?” .

Shortly I figured : it’s the Whole building swaying in high wind ! Was like being on a boat .

: was built that way to Withstand the high winds and storms - but oh damn , was a trip the first time !

Got used to it in time

Had great view of the basin : kids sailing on weekends ; me tanning on the balcony 👙 x

Looks like it was very bad in parts of galway. Salthill, oranmore and athenry. Seems to be trees down all over the country.

I’m in Dub overlooking one of the more notable Parks , my apt at treetop level ::

I’d be surprised if some trees don’t get turned up Here ! X
