Default When did the fashion of shaving pubic hair begin?

Just curious when did this become popular?

I know the first times I encountered saved / waxed pussys it seemed wrong as like it was been with a child, now i could't imagine been with a lady who had a bush....

Curious if people can remember when the trend began

According to this, removal of body hair took place much, much longer back than I expected.
Pubes seems to be a little more recent.

Honestly, YES I love sucking balls. I couldn't give a rats arse if there is hair or not, as long as he is just out the shower. I also prefer my woman hairy, but atlas the misses shaves :-(

In the west the trend of grooming pubic hair goes back quite a while but not so far back as that of bathing.Much like bathing it spread from the south and east of the globe upwards. Grooming pubic hair in particular as a mainstream trend in the West really only took of late mid 70's . Porn played quite a part but so to did Sex workers. Can't catch crabs if there's not for them to grab onto (or so was the belief)
Once mainstream it became a sing of good health and cleanliness and ofc the business world took note. As a teen I remember many a girl who truly thought not shaving meant being unhygienic. Oddly though, pubic hair does serve a very important purpose, wicking sweat away and keeping things cool down there amongst others*. With the rise of the body positive movement and a rejection of arbitrary social norms re:women's body there is a move back towards a more au natural style but so long as thongs and brazilian cut undies reign supreme it' s unlikely the full 70's style bush will make a return.

*Alot of people do not take as much care as they should when cleaning up down there, the micro-abrasions and dryness cause by improper gential grooming can infact increase the chances of infection, not to mention ingrown hairs :P Always remember to trim then shave folks

pardon the spelling errors. I am very tired ,yay tourist season
What if "It's Raining Men" and 'Let the bodies hit the floor' are both about the same event but from different perspectives 🤔

A relative of mine used work in a maternity hospital. One of her jobs was shaving patients. I remember her talking about a woman that came in ready shaved, shocked her completely. I reckon that was about 1985.
My wife caught me wearing ladies underwear and threatened to leave me.
So I packed up all her clothes
    And left.

Personally I do trim as im a hairy guy in that region, feels fresher and less sweat in the area and have had no complaints.
I see it as personal hygiene like trimming your beard, you would not let it grow wild but that's just me

I use an electric razor for safety
