Curious if people can remember when the trend began
In the west the trend of grooming pubic hair goes back quite a while but not so far back as that of bathing.Much like bathing it spread from the south and east of the globe upwards. Grooming pubic hair in particular as a mainstream trend in the West really only took of late mid 70's . Porn played quite a part but so to did Sex workers. Can't catch crabs if there's not for them to grab onto (or so was the belief)
Once mainstream it became a sing of good health and cleanliness and ofc the business world took note. As a teen I remember many a girl who truly thought not shaving meant being unhygienic. Oddly though, pubic hair does serve a very important purpose, wicking sweat away and keeping things cool down there amongst others*. With the rise of the body positive movement and a rejection of arbitrary social norms re:women's body there is a move back towards a more au natural style but so long as thongs and brazilian cut undies reign supreme it' s unlikely the full 70's style bush will make a return.
*Alot of people do not take as much care as they should when cleaning up down there, the micro-abrasions and dryness cause by improper gential grooming can infact increase the chances of infection, not to mention ingrown hairs :P Always remember to trim then shave folks
pardon the spelling errors. I am very tired ,yay tourist season
What if "It's Raining Men" and 'Let the bodies hit the floor' are both about the same event but from different perspectives 🤔
