Thousands of people protested in Caracal, Bucharest, and other cities on July 27-28, outraged that it took the authorities 19 hours to locate and enter the premises where kidnapped Alexandra Macesanu made three desperate calls to the country’s emergency number on July 25 begging to be rescued as they waited for a search warrant — even though it isn’t legally required for life-threatening emergencies.

Macesanu’s uncle even released a transcript of one of the phone calls in which the responder tells the schoolgirl to get off the line because she is blocking it for other emergency calls.

At the end of the call Macesanu yells, “He’s here, he’s here!” as the line falls silent. In a later call to the emergency line she said she had been beaten and raped.

Officials confirmed on August 3 that DNA from the remains of a body found behind the building in which Macesanu had allegedly been kept matched hers.

I heard of this, fucking disgraceful behaviour.
And now it seems that it is very likely that the young girl has lost her life.

Those who failed to help her (especially he who wanted to get through phone calls as quick as possible) when they could and should have, should face time locked up.


It also makes me wonder if they receive a bonus for the more calls they take, why they hung up on the kid.

My reaction is one of anger at such incompetence. The system failed a young girl and all those responsible must be made to account for it.

If u want a good example about a disgraced behaviour i would recommend u to see this, where an 81 yo lady is fined by Romanian police because she was passing the street to slowly and even she started to walk on green light she got caught in the middle of the street on red therefor police fined her for walking on red light

Relating with the thread the police guy who answered at 112 was very arrogant with the girl thinking is a joke. WE call Romanian police, militia, the old name of communist Romanian police as they have same attitude: arrogant, stupid etc. another example here about disgraceful behaviour: a girl 14 yo standing near police car with blood dripping on her after she has been raped and Police look indifferent to her. People rang an ambulance , not Police ..people who happened to be around trying to talk with the girl and in this time the woman police just stay comfortable in the car looking not paying interest or interact with the girl in any way
