I'm pretty much screwed as I have never been to college or University so I don't have any qualifications or any degrees other than the pretty poor GCSE's I got at school.
As soon as I left school, I was working from part-time to full-time.

In my early years, I was working on the market and from the age of 18, I have been working in factories, warehouses.
This is my first office job that I've had.

I so do regret not going to college as I will find it very hard to find work if I needed to.
For me, working was always on my mind and don't like being out of work.

I feel at my age and frame of mind, I think it is too late to do anything as such.
Just have to put with with what I could get.

Hey Floki, Don't put yourself down like that, It's never too late to do something, Part time or evening courses in IT or something like that.
I have no college or university experience and I have done pretty well, even though I had to do it the long way through shitty jobs till I got the right one.
Hope you get to do what you wish

I never felt as having an university degree i am more fortunate or luckier then othes without in finding a good job. Always worked in domains where not required any qualification because in my domain i have been rejected always for not having experience required so i cant say helped me much, actually didnt helped me at all. But this was in Romania. Maybe Ireland is different .. i hope...

The thing as well to remember is that they will hire you for about 80% you and 20% your CV. You could have a smashing CV, but if you dont come across well in the interview, they will choose someone else.
