Tbf to economists, I would not put them in the same negative light as the rest. Generally, they are quite cautious about government spending and don't defend controversial expenditure projects.

Economics they say is a pseudo science because economists cannot accurately predict their discipline.

before the last recession Morgan Kelly i think he is called had a huge debate with another economist on tv. Kelly said the economy was going to crash. The other economist said it would not.

I remember that joke, it went something like. when a bank robs you, you get to bail them out.
