The part where the dog gets machet to death is an image ingrained in my mind at the moment

I cryed watching that

These kind of assholes only care about money and looking good.
That is the only real reason they treat dogs as they do.

All dogs behind the scenes should be monitored by officials and if any sign of abuse takes place, they should be removed from the show and the dogs taken away from them.

I hate anybody that abuses animals and I had found out that a person can spend upto 5 years for animal cruelty.
This prison sentence is nowhere near long enough, even if the law has just changed.

I found it extremely upsetting. In different aspects of farming we as a nation take pride in animal welfare but I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. All that matters is money and if the greyhound is not good enough he is worthless. He is actually a big problem. I used to enjoy going to the dogs but no right minded person could support an industry that allows this to happen

Think I'm a bit of an extremist on this subject - Absolutely ZERO TOLERANCE to any "kind" of animal abuse. Be it a donkey in a tourist trap or a mouse in a Laboratory.

For the past 15yrs I've lived Meat and Dairy free and never looked back.

I’m just back from the Curragh, and we could debate ethics and animal welfare here all night.

I LOVE animals, a true biophiliac. ( not sure if that word actually exists as there is a red line under it)

The greyhound industry is rotten, didn’t see the documentary, but know that anyway.

Horse racing is better, not perfect, but working on it, a work in progress and I believe it will continue to improve.

Bullfighting, cock fighting, badger baiting, dog fighting, ear cropping, fur farming, alligator farming, poaching rhinos etc are absolutely disgusting.

Then look at the poultry and pig industry? Veal production? Even fishing?

We’ll have to meet up for a debate???
