Onus is on all police forces to enforce the law. Law is there be it good or bad depending on which angle you are coming from and must be obeyed. IT WOULD BE NO HARM IF A LOT OF THOSE GROTTY LOCATIONS WERE CLOSED DOWN WITH lots of girls sharing. They are the ones who give the business a bad name. Most established ladies do not share have proper vetting procedures etc and I am sure make use of all modern technology and equipment for personal safety. They are ones who should be supported. Realistically ladies on their own are not being bothered or breaking the law and sex workers are not under surveillance. It is clients who are being watched coming and going and it is clients who are breaking the law. An ideal world would have all ladies working on their own and being responsible. An afterthought. Do we need 600 plus plus working in a small country. Half of that obeying the law and we would all be more comfortable visiting

That was always the way that 2 ladies sharing was classified as brothel even before this new law. How do all those established ladies manage without having to share?. Ladies going into this business must realise the dangers and make adequate provision for their safety without having to share. Being realistic with such high rents I can understand necessity to share too.

I didn't say it was a new law, just that it is bullshit law. As for established and well reviewed ladies, sure they had to start somewhere and most probably shared at at time.

The thing is that since this new law was introduced it would appear that the people it was supposed to protect has done the complete opposite.

Those two ladies that very unfortunately got prison sentences were sentenced on account of original law nothing to do with new law. If ladies think they cannot work in safety on their own with their own safety measures and vetting in place then they should not be working.
It is a very high risk profession anyway.

Yeah realistic. If more supported ladies who work on their own there would be no problem. The client is now the one who is being targeted. I have given up as there is too much hype about this new law and it is drawing too much attention on the profession.

Mick, Plenty of escorts here work on their own and never share as these escorts work hard and could lose all their earnings and goodlife in Ireland and I too will support those escorts, no point in two girls sharing if it puts them and us in trouble, the client is the target and that why Ruhama not so happy with the jailing of those 2 escorts as they believe it should be clients, sad or what?
They believe when they share there that element of pimping / trafficking etc involved too and no ones knows but I know we are on our own here and must support each other as we can rely on no one else
