Can't edit posts only delete them and post a new or duplicate reply with your alterations. Twitter is full of bots and for anyone that isn't on it but is thinking about it, it's just a social media platform.

It can replace the original post. But what are you trying to gain. Once you post someone will have seen it, and you're original post can be retweeted or screenshotted or reported.
Posts can't be edited, only replaced or removed.
