So how do you eradicate sex work? Please enlighten us? If we were to eradicate the demand and the supply, then what you suggest might come to pass. This utopian paradise you dream of, it does not exist anywhere on this planet. And it never has.

As for my daughter? I'd like her free to make her own decisions about her body, and to be happy. Some of the ladies I've met here are the most intelligent people you're likely to meet anywhere, and trust me, many of them consider the clients to be the exploited ones.

If that genuinely was the concern then education would be the more appropriate answer, not a harmful prohibition.

Education and calm controlled respectful debate from people of experience and knowledge is the way forward.
Why have escorts not got a group to speak for them, to set up and sit down with this Ruhama or organizations like it. Or have meetings with people in government.

Or maybe they do and I don't know about it. But this giving out and name calling to their opposition as they see it solves nothing. Why don't the escorts organize a committee of their own, and see is there a way forward in some small way.

I don't have the answers but I do know this, this crack of say we are harming nobody and it's only sex, that's not worth a fuck. Holding parades on the street and shouting for the right to control their own bodies, not worth a fuck.

On another page of Ruhama’s submission to the Oireachtas, a request for those involved in prostitution who show no signs of coercion i.e. Sex Workers to be prosecuted for owning a sim card linked to the advertising of sexual serviced.

This will range from cautions to custodial sentences, and it will not depend on the accused retaining any anonymity i.e. details of a Sex Worker being prosecuted may be published in the paper just like that of a sex buyer.
