I noticed traffic about this on another punting site, I have not used it, so I can't recommend, but I'd like to make you aware of it, in these troubled times.

This is an app where you can get for a small fee about (€5 per month) an Irish mobile phone number with unlimited texts and Calls to other Irish phones. If you are worried about being nabbed by the pigz on the way out of an apartment, you could immediately delete it from ypur main phone.

There are others out there as well.

Punting phones are meant to be little disposable phones with a PIN number that if you’re robbed by corrupt police, it’s not a big loss as it’s cheap and it will be useless to them. Don’t use a smartphone as a punting phone; they are too expensive.

no need for it as not difficult to delete the details from phone once you have the escorts information. When over here I use a phone I bought in Tesco UK for a Fiver

I've never used a punting phone.
Always use my everyday phone and delete calls an texts in the lift.

I was only ever stopped once by a Garda leaving an appointment and when he asked what I was doing I told him I was meeting up with a married guy for no strings Gay sex. He quickly sent me on my way.

Tried it — doesn’t seem to include Irish numbers. Safer to use a separate phone anyway
