Is it ok to PM the Escorts to ask if they’re staying in a hotel
or apartment ?
Does anyone do this ?

I ask. It's not a necessarily a dead giveaway of where they are unless your in the country somewhere. Better to ask that early than to go through booking and then change your mind when you find out where you are supposed to go. Saves everyone time and I fail to see an issue in asking for an accomodation type.
I would ask when I phone where an escort is too. Not to find out if it is a hotel or not, but just to give me some idea where to go and, if driving, where to park. Essential if in an unfamiliar town or city.
Rarely have had any problems, I usually at least get a landmark or something and you guess where she is.
You can get a good idea too, from her reviews sometimes or just from the profile. For example, if she is charging 60euro for a half-hour, she will need a lot of clients to cover her hotel costs. And there are other pointers.

I haven’t punted this year but I think hotels are a better option right now

When I check their diary dates and it's a very short stay like 2/3 days I always assume they could be staying in a hotel, so I always ask first, because I don't like going to Hotels
I never liked hotels, cameras, security guards, reception in sight, cleaners about, but now I'm starting to think its a better option, than walking out of an apartment block with potentially garda waiting for you
All hotels have CCTV and most apartment blocks these days, they are only checked in the event of a issue, like they need to prove something happened. You poppig by to see a friend or "buy something off of done deal" isn't cause for them looking at CCTV.
With hotels, holiday makers are in an out all day as well as people going to the gym, restaurant and conference facilities that are at most hotels escorts stay at, this is so that you can walk in unnoticed.
I often ask if not sure as hotels in my home town don't really suit me
