The root of the problem is clients. The pimps can't function without clients. The law can't be broken without clients. If you attack the clients you attack the problem.

Why use such stupid and broken logic?

1. Ends do not justify the means. In theory, yes, if every single client was put in prison, then there would be no money for escorts and no money for pimps. That does not mean it is the correct solution, or even the most effective solution, for tackling the problem.
2. This law targets clients even when sex between the client and escort is fully consenting. It is unethical to have laws which criminalise people who are not doing anything wrong or immoral.

I really don’t think most of yous understand this.. the guards aren’t out to arrest clients because it’s now illegal to pay for sex..if you google operation quest you will clearly see that it’s there to tackle organised prostitution and brother keeping. I am Irish and I am an escort/happy hooker iand all of this doesn’t bother me 1 bit because I know I work legally and I know I keep my accommodation safe, I don’t put myself nor my client at risk.. although yes it would be nice to work with another girl sometimes for companionship and safety.. what does bother me is the amount of girls who are being trafficked, who are being controlled, who are being abused and who are giving all the money they earn to their controllers. For the guards to be doing surveillance there’s a bigger picture behind that and they are building up the evidence for something.. and arresting some (not all) men who have absolutely no morals so they can build their evidence and cases against these controllers and pumps..I don’t think they nor many other people care.

Operation Quest was originally introduced to tackle trafficking and brothel keeping ( in case you didnt know if you share with another escort you are breaking the law and its a criminal offence) and not to go after clients initially as was not illegal then but it was operational before the New sex Bill was introduced but now this is factored in as its a criminal offence as to say on here that the Guards are now not going after Clients is actually not only very incorrect but stupid and naive,
