I was one of the 36 also. I was unaware of the crime and believed the Garda needed help in solving something. I just said well you know why I was in there. Then went on to talk about my childhood.
I got a call today saying they were forwarding the case to the dpp. As if I said something to incrimate myself. I told them I wanted a lawyer present.

Doesnt really matter about the conviction, but the public hanging could suck.

really sorry to hear that and that what scared me, was the public hanging and name in the paper but it will be impossible to keep it out, you may be able to keep it out of one paper but another one will grab the story, best of luck and hope it works all ok for you

Even if the case is forwarded to the DPP there is plenty of opportunities for them to decide not to proceed for various reasons.

And even if they do, a good solicitor could see it not even heard in court. But you won't get a good solicitor by asking here!

This will bw my last post on this forum - I believe I have put my neck out for the members here, you can belive me or not but I will be deleting my account after this..

Just a few edits from my orgninial post.

1. I have seen the escort many times she is not been forced by some gang. I have seen her out with her friends in dunnes a few times and henry St once shopping. She even told me she was out all morning clothes shopping in town that day. im not saying pimp gangs dont existent in Ireland but I belive the Garda wanted me to admit my guilt of seeing the escort under the fog of them caring saying the girls were be pimped...


2.The Garda asked me what I was doing in the complex not appartment which I replied doing business after I told him they had the wrong person,and I wasnt seeing an escort


3. The Gards tried to get me to sign a pieice of paper that was already printed on a page, I told them I wasnt going to sign that under any circmstances, that back and forth went on for a few mins . They even tried to play it off as a confirmation of there interaction with me and it meant nothing in the scheme of things because they knew what I was doing. Anyway, thats when they told me to fuk off and get out of the car.. I couldnt really see what was on the paper as it was dark and had some garda breathing down my face in the back of the car.


Finally, in regards to the phone. I have a friend who works in the gards who I have known since chikdhood and would be aware of me going to escorts. I was talking to him during the week and he advised they wouldnt bother gettiing it unlocked but will bag it as potenial evidence and file it away in line with personal data ( 7 years or something before been destroyed) it will be logged against my name in the pulse system so if Im caught again in the appartment or they can 100% prove I saw an escort it will be unlocked and used against me in court + the other evidence gathered which he said could prove im a regular person seeing escorts and it wasnt just the once off leading to a higher prosectution

Luckily I dont text escorts and the numbers will be redudant in a year or two..
