leaving aside the time booked i think and discretion play a big role. i had a client few weeks back , told him to call me when is close to the block to get the ap no and guess what: he enter in a block with a lady neighbor and when they both was waiting for lift he ring me saying:'' i,m in what floor and room number' .. many guys really dont know how to be discreet first for their own good! not means all 36 guys stopped was indiscreet but i tell u : there are many many people who just dont know what means to be discreet and expose themselves very easy . AT the other side are guys who are very discreet, they talk on headphone not holding phone on the ear when approaching the block, or even coming dressed up to not create suspicion as for example last year was lots of construction work near a place i was and i had few clients wearing vests and coming with tools box or a paper with a pen like they have to take notes lol. i was amused but i appreciate their discretion and desire to be unnoticed .

This is a good idea, but why don't more women communicate by text when close rather than on the phone? A guy texting on his phone doesn't look out of place, talking is a bit more suspicious.

i dont know... i text them once they are close to have time to read the text and see exactly the ap number as on the phone sometime su dont udnerstand or hear if is noise, and i prefer them to read then to repeat the ap no with loud voice close to the block
