Good stuff but this will fall on deaf ears sadly.
Yes considerable resources must have been expended during this crackdown. I am unsure what the cops strategy was and how they conducted their questioning. Did they enter premises? Did they carry out surveillance using technology e.g. of phone use? Did they sit outside apartment blocks and use hidden cameras to track people? Did they arrest suspects or just question them and see if they confess or incriminate themselves? Are all 36 individuals involved going to face prosecution? As of yet a lot of unanswered questions.
A public service announcement from Gillyland to all the old guys on here.

Thanks Floki.
They said that alright.. But surely they would need to have evidence and the escort in the court?
It all seems very grey.. But equally its the publicity Id like to avoid. Not like that poor man in Meath.
The guards have been visiting a lot of girls since the passing of the law and gently telling them that this was coming. 2 of the top girls here have relocated to London because of this. Others here have commented on the huge decline in numbers of girls visiting. The reality is that only those who are desperate are going to run the risk of detection. A lot of big egos here talking about asserting rights to silence with the guards. It’s a different story when you are sat in the back of a Garda car handcuffed on the way to the station and wondering what you are going to tell your mammy, wife or kids. This way of punting is over because it’s so easy to detect and prove. Which means the whole circus will be driven underground and become more seedy and dangerous for the ladies. It’s all nonsense but despite all the protests, it’s the new reality!

If they take it to court, then what evidence they have will come down to what you had said to them when they had stopped you.
As stated, you can't remember as you had a few pints, so just hope that they don't have much on you and is thrown out of the window.
As for the press, they seem to like to name and shame people who have been done for meeting with a sex worker.
If taken to court and you are fined, then I would recommend asking the judge or whoever not to put your name out for person reasons, that is if they will listen.
Personal date being released without permission, then sue them.
If only it was that easy of course.
But for now, I think they are making decisions to take this further or not.
