That is still an enormous portion of society, pretty much half the world.

There is enormous stigma when it comes to escorting and hence why so many escorts change their names and hide their faces. Then as well a lot of escorts dont escort in their home area/country. They go abroad or to a different part of their country, if the country is big like america or china.

You dont see the punters themselves coming out saying they are visiting escorts. They would lose a lot if they did.

But i agree. The stigma is coming mainly from other women, for various reasons. I remember reading about a bipolar man who went on a sex binge visiting escorts when he was manic and his wife was horrified. Her reasoning was that she would have preferred him to cheat with a woman who was not an escort. There was sort of a humiliation in that he cheated on her with escorts. There was a thread on the boards about what a woman would do if she knew a guy she liked was visiting escorts. The vast majority of women said they would not date such a guy.

Is not about being smart. i,m sure i,m not very smart as i made and make many mistakes. IS just common sense. All women will see/think like me if they will not be to busy to think only about what THEY want and only about themselves and forget and men are humans too, with their own life. But many women are very subjective, don't stay in the middle to see the whole picture but only in their side and see from their side and forget it is and another view from the other/man side... A couple of months ago I gave someone a negative rep point. It was a particularly obnoxious troll who was building to his usual inevitable meltdown.
I left a simple comment on the negative rep ... 'idiot'.
I didn't feel like elucidating as the post I was replying to spoke volumes of its own

It is amazing how stigma sort of forces the hand of society.

If a man in demand was going out every weekend bringing home a different woman, the women would be crazy for him. But then if he pays for sex, they are disgusted. What is really happening is they (the women and it applies to men as well) are reacting to how they will be perceived.

Look i dont agree with the stigma against sex workers, but it does exist.
